Of a grieving

So, nagkamali ako sa naunang post ko. I lost my grandfather yesterday October 13, 2008 at the age of 76 around 1:55 in the afternoon.

Xiet na buhay ito. Hindi na ako umabot man lang sa kanya, pinilit kong makauwi ng maaga, galing ako sa orientation sa National Center for Mental Health nung morning, at dapat magpapalit ako ng pera para maiuwi ng Mommy ko. Tapos may exam pa ako na 200 items that day. 

Wala na ang Papa ko.

Wala ng magsasabi: ” O, wala munang love affair love affair na yan.”

Hibernating??

Saan ba ako nagsusuot nung mga nakaraan buwan? Hmm. Cliche pero, naging busy talaga ako sa school at sa thesis namin noon. Ang dami ko din extra curricular work. (ndi naman monkey business)

 Sa tutoo lang ayaw ko na magblog ulit. Namuo na sa akin ang inggit na ang daming magagaling na blogger. Syet. Sabay, ang mommy ko laging gamit ang PC. Hahahaha. Tapos, ang boring ng buhay ko. Super. Eh anong ikwekwento ko? Tapos.. Naadik ako sa multiply. Pero kung sisilipin mo ang multiply ko wala naman akong masyadong napost. Ang tutoo naadik ako tumingin sa mga online shops. (bumubulong ang aking konsensiya.. sinabing ndi lang ako tumitingin. Hehehe ako din ay bumili. Shemay!)

So ayun, naadik ako sa pagtingin (at pagbili) ng mga kung anu ano. May mga palpak, may maayos at sa awa ni Lord never pa ako na scam. Hehehe. Pero dahil ayaw ko na muna mamili sa multiply, balik blog muna ako. Pagtiisan na lamang kung ang mga kwento ko ay boring, or walang wenta. 

Kaya yun. Sa susunod ulit.

Defense.

I’ll be doing this in bulleted style to make the update faster and cleaner.

* prior to the defense (august 31) tempers were flying high within our group. (SMS is a double edged sword!)

* but a day off from each other made us realize that this thesis wouldn’t break us.

* Sept. 2, I had to arrive early as I am the head of Physical Arrangement. I’m super thankful for the help of Ate Tess and the other SC (second coursers) for their help.

* No mic wire for the 4th mic?? Arrgh!!

* Plus the mic for the panelist had some freakin’s static. =(

* Bunutan kung sino mauunang magdefense. (I prayed that we’d be part of the AM batch. And we got the 3rd slot Yay!)

* So far so good, ang daming tanong, in my mind and heart, basta masagutan ko sa aking makakaya, okay na ako. 

* Syempre we supported the other groups din. Maganda din yung ibang topics. ^_^

* I played Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate while waiting. Pangtangal kaba. 

* While they were makin the closing remarks and speech (before announcing the winner) Ma’am Gamo told me we will win. I told her: “Ma’am sana magdilang anghel kayo po. ” And she just smiled and nodded her head.

 So ang tanong nanalo ba naman kami???

 Highlight nyo na lang ang nasa baba. 

* We won. 2nd place best thesis. Yay. hehehe.

An e-heads update.

Affter a dismal news that the eheads concert won’t be pushing through because DOH didn’t allow PM to use the concert as an advertising gimick, it’s great that the E-heads concert is still pushing thorugh. No, it won’t be at the City of Manila anymore, and sadly it won’t be free. Said concert will be held at The Fort for a fee of course. ^_^ Pwede nyo na bang bilhin ang aking atay?

dear everybody

after much ado. the eraserheads concert is most definitely pushing
through.

philip morris and its brands have pulled out from the concert. but
another company is taking over the production. the turn over started
yesterday and they have already started work on the site in the fort.
so you can check.

there are good news and bad news.

unfortunately its no longer free. all the long winded registration
procedures in the red nation site is now void.

the good news is that the age limit is now 12 years old (for safety
reasons)and tickets will be sold so you dont have to wait for
confirmation and what not.

the official announcement and ticketing details will come out in major
newspapers and on the radio on tuesday.

these are the only details i know for now so no need to email me. im
just the drummer.

btw. i just got home from the last rehearsal. the band is cooking. we
will see you all on the 30th.

Of death and dying

In my field, death is an inevitable encounter almost every day.It is a part of life, but even thoughwe know that it is inevitabl, we can’t help but be in denial when it happens, be angry when the one that we love gets taken away, bargain with God that will do everything to bring back a special someone, be depressed when it doesn’t happen. And after a long bout of sadness, comes the much awaited acceptance. Acceptance of what happened, of the loss. 

 *sigh

Rest in peace Sean James.  

Rest in peace to Lola Nazy. =( Nehla will miss you so much.

Wah. Nung bumagyo nawala din ang internet connection ko, ilang araw din.. mga 3-4 days na nawala ang stupid bro ko. Tapos nung naayos, nag ask ako ng rebates (syempre) sabi iimbestigahan isip isip ko ” anu iimbestigahan e bumagyo, nasira control center mabagal kayo kaya ilang araw walang internet.” Kinuha nila contact detail, pati email add. Ngayon may spam messages galing kay stupidbro. ARRGH.

Yung mga namatay sa Sulpicio Lines, ndi pa sila nahahanap at nailibing pinagaagawan na ng mga kamaganak yung settlements. Kamusta naman sila? Typical na sugapa lang. Hay. 200K makes you wonder your own mortality ha.

Swerte ni Pacman. 4 Belts. Daming mga politiko sa ringside ha.

Nakakatuwa talagang nanood ang Celtics. Bigfan kasi si Pacman, nabanggit pa nga niya bago nung NBA finals na Celtics mananalo.

Tataas na naman ang Gasolina. Hay. Makabili nga muna ng bike.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Dean Charles Stanforth: We seem to have reached the age where life stops giving us things and starts taking them away.
After waiting for 19 years, Lucas and Spielberg arguably a team up who could be so much and more, gave us one movie that leaves you with a bittersweet after taste in your mouth. I wasn’t even expecting a lot from the movie (I got that from watching too many Bond flicks) but I sure was surprised at the crummy ending. Jeff Nathanson could have done something with the story, he could have done greater things, and yet they decided to rehash old plot lines.

Watch this movie if only to see if Ford still have what it takes to be Indy, and if you want to see Shia LeBeouf as a greaser. The greaser versus college jocks was pretty fun albeit short, plus the refrigerator scene was cool (although unbelieveable) and even the CGI’s were great. 

And no, there wasn’t any rolling boulders this time. 

Yay.
