New Look again??
February 28, 2007Yes, for the nth time since this blog has started, I've changed the looks again. Hay. Wala akong magawa. Blame it on the cofee. I should be sleeping but I couldn't. Argh!
I got an email asking me if I read all my links. Yes, I do. I check each and everyone of my link. I lurk their site and patiently waits for an update. Don't worry, I might be twisted, but I don't bite.
Of life’s ironic moment
February 27, 2007I just checked my friendster earlier, and I lurked around my friends' and "friends" pages. I've just noticed that most of my high school buddies has kids. Yes, with an "S". And we're like only 22-23 years old the oldest in my batch couldn't be more than 25 y/o this year and they already have 2-3 kids already. Is 22 the new marrying age now?
I find it ironic that the "chaste looking girls" were the first ones to get knocked up when they entered college. They even had kids in the process, as if they wanted to shout at the whole world that they were promiscuous. Uhm. Ok, that seems harsh. I'm sorry.
I have nothing against people who have sex outside of marriage. It's your choice. But you could always make it safe for both of you. I have a male best friend, let's just call him Bong (hahahaha.) He has sown his seeds around University Belt proudly may I add. He has a kid from a girl in FEU, another one in UST and one in CEU; unfortunately for him, the girl's father was/ is a higher up in the military. He was forced to marry the girl. Good for the other girls in other schools, bad for him (sabi nya).
I have a friend, who back in high school was sought after because she looked so prim and proper. I checked her friendster profile and I saw that she now has 2 kids. A common friend told me that both kids have different father. I really don't mind as I keep an open mind in this type of things, after all shit happens. But we're in the Philippines. Land of freaking discrimination and admonishing people. I wish her luck.

Swimwears and Shitty reports.
February 26, 2007I've finished my Micro/Para report last Saturday (Feb. 24). It took me 1 hour and 30 minutes to finish a 10 page powerpoint report which has been filtered and looked liked a grade school did the presentation. My prof grilled me well enough for him to mutter the words "kawawa naman si ______, baka gusto naman sumagot nang mga groupmates nya?" I ain't happy with what happened, yes I was beaten to a pulp but I do believe that shit happens. But I'm glad I survived the whole ordeal, at least I'm done my 4 other group mates has to do their stuff next Friday. Talk about torture.
My sister Kathleen and I then met up, as she plans on buying swimwears to bring to Galera the next weekend. We ate at McDonald's Quezon Ave., while waiting for Sugar to come. I knew he wanted to drop by the toyshops to check if there is another Gundam waiting to be acquired. Kath was persuading me to try the Strawberry Float or the Bubblegum float. Uh, no way. I'm content with my Coke Float. Thank you.
However, upon reaching Greenhills, my ever forgetful sister only realized that she accidentally left her ATM under her pillow. Great. So distressed was my sister that she failed to notice Mark Anthony Fernandez who was standing in front of us.
After half heartedly going around Shoppesville and TheaterMall, I told her that we could drop by Galleria as I know SPF, Lae and Nothing But Water would more than likely have new supplies of swimwears. So off we go now to Galleria where we went to SPF, she was able to buy a reversible halter top bikini for P1600. More than what she wanted to pay. But I told her that it's worth-it and that it looked good on her. The cover up that we saw also looked hot, but we decided against it, P1200 is a lot for a piece of knitted cloth. But we did buy Bath and Body Works body splash for both of us. Lae unfortunately didn't have good bikini's available; and Nothing But Water was deserted. As in.
We also droped by Gary Lising's joke shop (in search of ____) and Toy's R' Us. Since we still had some time to burn (because we were able to get what she wanted), we decided to catch a movie. It was a toss up between The messengers and Number 23. The messengers won as that was what my sis wanted, although Sugar wanted the Jim Carey movie; they compromised by Kath promising to give him a dl copy. We bought food at Tater's and watched the movie.
I didn't get to watch the whole movie. I was scared and feeling cold at the same time that I covered myself with Sugar's jacket. But, based on the screams of the people besides us, it has the it factor. I guess.
Hehehe.

Of growing up..
February 23, 2007"BRIAN HAD SEX WITH A REALLY DUMB GIRL NOW HE'S TAKING HIS FRIEND STEWIE TO GET SOME ICE CREAM IN HIS CAR…"
I love watching TV. In fact I work as a CSR for one of the sattelite service provider in the US of A. Talk about destiny.
I grew up with Rainbow Bright, My Little Pony, CareBears, Batibot and Sesame Street. I was also able to watch the reruns of Spiderman and Captain America (♪♪WHEN CAPTAIN AMERICA THROWS HIS MIGHTY SHIELD, ALL THOSE WHO CHOSE TO OPPOSE HIS SHIELD MUST YIELD! IF HE'S LED TO A FIGHT AND A DUEL IS DUE THEN THE RED AND THE WHITE AND THE BLUE WILL COME THROUGH WHEN CAPTAIN AMERICA THROWS HIS MIGHTY SHIELD! ♪♪)
The only "tagalog" show that I was allowed to watch by my Aunt was Batibot. I knew the characters and the songs that was part of the show. Who could forget Madam Bola? Perlas na bilog wag tutulog tulog… ba be bi bo bu. Or Kapitan Basa? Ning Ning and Ging Ging? The friendship of Pong Pagong and Kiko Matsing? I mean who could forget the song : Alin alin alin ang naiba? Isipin kung alin ang naiba? Or the song: Pagmulat nang mata langit nakatawa sa batibot. Sa Batibot. (ok, enough na!)
Until now, even if I'm reading books, playing games (PSP, DS or PC) I still like to have the TV on. It might be weird but when I play or read and the people I'm with notices that I'm too engrossed with what I'm doing and they turn off the TV I'll be totally angry. Sasabihin nila, busy ka naman e.. And I'd retort that I wasn't that I was pseudo watching and listening. Weird.
The shows that I normally watch are cartoons. I watch Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Animax. I sometimes check the Lifestyle network because there are certain shows that I like to watch ex: Wolfgang Puck, Food Emergency and Looks for less. And I also like JackTV for Family Guy, American Dad, MAD TV and Drawn together. I also like Star World because they use to show The Simpsons everyday @ 7 in the evening until it was bought by Cartoon Network where they used to show double episodes at 6 pm and at 9 pm. (Used to because they now only show single ep) And don't forget etc and etc 2nd avenue. Aww.. I'm sad that the producer for the Queer Eye for the Straight Guy stated that this will be the last season.
Do I live for TV? Not really, I mean it's just that ahhh… I could live without TV for a couple of days, because it's just like drugs, it's addictive. Once you're hooked you can't escape.
That's why I don't have cable. I only get to watch my shows when I go to Sugar's house or when I go to the province (hehehe may cable tv ang Papa ko). Hay.
Several posting in one.
February 22, 2007Sugar asked me last week to pray for him. To pray that he wouldn't pass the Tier 2 interview, as a bribe he told me that if he wouldn't get the post, he'll be able to take me to Puerto Galera on the 3rd of March. And with that he really asked me to pray because he didn't want the position. He felt that it's not his forte. But I couldn't pray for that. I mean, how could I pray for something that might be beneficial for him in the long run? But I didn't ask God for Sugar to ace the interview, as I know that what God wills to happen will happen. So it did. Ndi na siya Tier 2. Tech Leader naman na siya ngayon. *Proud Gf on the loose* It's ok if we don't go to Puerto, we could always go to Batangas, if we could only find time..
My team mates are planning to go to Palawan this May. Yehey, I hope this pushes thru, that would be really cool, we'll be staying there for almost 1 week. Excitement levels are up. So I'll just keep my fingers crossed now don't want to jinx it.
I plan on having a vid-party (I have a penchant for vid-party) on the 3rd.. (I know.. I know, the reason why I ain't raring to go to Puerto is I also have a back up plan lined up.) I'm still thinking if it'll be Music Match or Contessa which is at Metrowalk. I'm in singing mode lately.

Of singing your ♥ out.
February 21, 2007I've been blog hopping (again) lately. Hehehe, I couldn't find time to post because people in the office kept popping up beside me, that made me a bit conscious (bawal mag net…
) Anyway, I want to thank Oli and Kev for the wonderful time that I had with them last Sunday at Chocolate Kiss in UP. It was great catching up with friends and just talking over good food. We had pastas, piglets in blankets (sausage covered with bacon), chicken lollipops and loads of iced tea. Since we were a bit full we decided to walk around the Oval (did you know that they close the Oval in UP every sunday? I didn't..) and just talk and laugh. Kev was even nice enough to go down the lagoon with us, warning us that its near the sewers and that it might stink, we didn't mind and he even showed us some of the buildings in UP. We then poarted ways, Oli and I then went to Sm North, Oli is meeting a friend and I'll be meeting Sugar and Jess. Since we were a bit early than the people we were supposed to meet we decided to have some videoke fun, we went to Encore Encore. What's with Pinoys and singing? Every time I go to the arcade I'd see people belting out tunes. Even if it makes your ears pop, they'd still give their best and with matching dance moves.
I'd often invite friends for a vid-party, only because of my love for singing; no, don't ask me if singing loves me too, I wouldn't know, nor would I care. All I know is I love singing and I know most of you loves singing too. Don't you deny that fact, how many of you find yourself humming or whispering the lyrics whenever a fave song blasts off the radio or on MTV (help!! wala na bang MTV Philippines???) Pinoys are born talented. Just don't as in DO NOT sing My Way, no matter what. You do not want to see what would happen if you do.
Sadness
February 18, 2007I feel sad, I just got monitored by QA and I got a 75%. I know, lately I've been cutting a few corners regarding the calls just to make it faster. Boo.
I'm so embarassed, just when I'm supposed to say goodbye already to the team, saka pa ito nangyari. Que horror.
I'm already sad that I'll be leaving my friends, then add the horror for this one. Waah. Ayaw ko na.
Limitations of people
February 17, 2007Yesterday concluded our University week. I didn't even know na may University Week pala ang school namin. Yes, that's how clueless I am. Or maybe because I really don't care. I ain't happy at school. I only <3 one prof and that's because he's great @ teaching and he's clean (meaning no * wink you'll pass if you pass me money*) and that makes me want to strive for his subject. If only the registrar is not making my life miserable.
Hay.
Anyway, since there was a symposium we didn't have any classes, and that was perfectly fine for me. However, this was the first time in my life in school, that I've heard an SC member state, "Saan natin kukunin yung pangmiryenda?" I was shocked. I mean, shouldn't they have a budget for that? The previous school were I studied whenever we have guest speakers, there was always a budget for the snacks, the decorations. And it is NOT TAKEN OUT OF THE POCKETS OF THE STUDENTS AT THE SAME DAY OF THE EVENT. Sure, they ask for funds, but it is asked at least 1 month in advance and it is properly documented (it is either posted on the bulletin board or there is a letter).
Hay. It's ok, the school that I'm in now, is very small for a university, with a population of 26 students or less per classroom. Scary.
I didn't even understand the symposium, blame it on the topic (HUMAN GENOME PROJECT), but it's more on lack of sleep, I accidentally fell asleep during the middle of the discussion. I guess I was snoring because my lovely friend woke me up.
thanks Kris. So, I went up, picked my backpack, and went outside the school and on to Sm. I need to wake up my senses, and I was feeling hungry. Went to Pizza Hut where I ate my fill. Then I went home, watched Unit for at least an hour. Went to bed @ around 3.. when I woke up it's 5 in the morning. Waah. I felt abducted by aliens. Where did more than 12 hours go?
A flu away post
February 14, 2007Because the ice in our neighboring countries which are blessed with snow is now starting to melt our mornings have started to get cold. How odd, it's February and within the next month or so, the summer sky will be shining. Anyways, since its colder now, and my immune system seems to be weakening due to bad eating habits and lack of sleep, I officially now have the flu. The "my head is stuffed", "I can't smell/taste anything" and "I can barely breathe" type of flu. Damn. I feel so sick.
No wonder I felt so lethargic this past few days.
Anyway, I've just posted another batch of pics, now that I'm leaving work soon, I thought that uploading the pics of the people I've been with for the last year would be a fitting tribute for them. Today is Valentines day, but somehow, I don't feel like I'm in a celebratory mood. And Valentines fell on a weekday. Hay, imagine the traffic it'll cause on Malls, Cinemas, hotels and motels.
Dangwa and all the flower shops would be having a feast day and so will most gift shops. Taxi's will be jacking up the prices again (Ma'am/Sir, malayo po kasi at traffic, pakidagdagan naman nang P50..) and resto's will be so full you won't be able to eat.
Hmm.. V-day is great for lovers, would be lovers andthose lovers on the side(wink wink) Enjoy y'all. Happy hearts day.
