Lady: Why do you like me..?
Why do you love me?
Man: I can’t tell the reason.. but I
really like you..
Lady: You can’t even tell me the reason…
How can you say you like me?
How can you say you love me?
Man: I really don’t know the reason,
but I can prove that I love you.
Lady: No! I want you to tell me the
reason. My friend’s boyfriend can tell
her why he loves her but not you!

A Valentine Affair
February 13, 2008I’m a half hearted fan of Valentines. It tends to get too comercialized and too showy for my taste. But tomorrow isn’t just Valentines for me, it’ll also be our nth monthsary. I say nth because, we’ve [Sugar and I] grown tired of counting the months. In less than 3 months it will be our 7th anniversary. Don’t get me wrong, we still greet each other every month on the 14th; it’s like an age old tradition that we have. And since we’re not legal yet [for my part that is, and its a long story] we would send SMS to each other that would state : "happy you know what"
And to me it’s perfectly fine, that we greet each other that way, for in our own little world we know that we mean the world to each other.
He’ll be at work tomorrow and I’ll be at school. I do hope I win a cake [we’ll be having a cake raffle tomorrow, I heard there will be cakes from Ponti and Cakes-to go.] or else I’ll burn the school down. Hahaha. I guess I’ll be missin’ out tomorrow on all the flurry that Valentines bring. I’ll probably not get any flowers (sigh… for the record Sugar has given me flowers twice during our relationship) or chocolates, or gifts. I’ll get a call and an SMS greeting at the most but that’s okay.
After all who said Valentines is only celebrated on the 14th?

OR is a different world out there..
January 26, 2008For the past 3 weeks now, I’ve been spending my Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (10 pm-6 am) in the OR of RMC. As you all know, most operations are done in the morning, rarely are there any operations during the grave yard shift. I mean why would anyone schedule a hysterectomy or a cholecystectomy at night? Most OR mistakes happen during night time too, I guess it had something to do with the mind being sleepy and all. Most of the cases that we have received so far are: CS, emergency appendectomy, emergency hysterectomy, TAH, and an occasional overlapping scheduled operation that would spill into our shift.
We were supposed to get an patient who got stabbed, but they decided to wait it out as it was just a minor operation. My first time as the scrub nurse made me cry so hard in the end that I felt so tired of nursing all of a sudden. As with Murphy’s law, everything that you had hoped wouldn’t happen to you, happened that day. I was blundering around like a headless chicken and my excitement over the case died a very unattractive death.*sigh*
Minor OR setting and the OR itself is so different, the pressure once you put on your gowns is so huge that I could literally smell my own inexperience and fear.
Oh well, 4 more cases to go for me.
^_^
A brand new day.
January 15, 2008This morning I started tweaking my account, but I decided to stop for a while after a few change here and there because even if I believe that change is important an all together one would signal the end of the old me. And I’m not too sure if its a good thing. I’ve reinvented myself so many times that at times I find myself not knowing who I really am. Or maybe it’s because I’ve been living the expectations of others from me, I really don’t know.
There are times when I’m the good daughter, the kind sister, the sweet girlfriend, the thoughtful friend, the studious student, the softspoken student nurse, the punctual consultant, the ever-ready shoulder to cry on. I’ve worn so many faces, so many titles that I am sometimes overwhelmed with emotions and feelings. I feel trapped and there are times when I just want to be down and real and they ask me if I’m sick or they make me feel guilty. *sigh*
I just want to break free of the montony.. Argh!

Psychopath??!
December 16, 2007Read this question, come up with an answer. This is not a trick question.
It is as it reads. No one I know so far has got it right.
A woman, while at the funeral of her own mother, met a guy whom she did not know. She thought the man was amazing. She believed him to be her dream hero so much so that she fell in love with him right there, but never asked for his number and could not find him. A few days later she killed her sister.
Question:
What is her motive for killing her sister?
Give this some thought before you look at the answer below.
